History

CEII 2021 & Pervious CEII

As an event, CEII is not a new series as it was initiated from 2018 as a Workshop in the Shanghai AI Submit (A submit organized by Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, together with an international conference titled as IVPAI). During the past 3 years, it was organized as Workshop at Shanghai AI Submit.
Looking back to the first edition in 2018, computers reflected only strict rational thinking, while Intelligent Interaction and Cognitive Engineering would provide them with the ability of perceptual thinking. Cognitive engineering and Intelligent Interaction are multidisciplinary research field involving subjects such as Computer Science, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Linguistics and Electronic Engineering which is a fundamental change of the general Artificial Intelligence framework. The motivation of the Workshop was to approach human performance in perceiving, understanding and expressing emotion, which will lead to harmonious Human-Computer Interfaces.
CEII invited speakers in the field to share the state-of-the-art research and application in industrial. It attracted more than 30 keynote speakers and 500 participants in the past three years.
